We have talked before about how Facebook is the only platform on which your audience probably expects you to be active because it is the most used with a reported 68% of US adults using the platform in 2018 and 75% claiming to use it on a daily basis. So when is the best time to post? The best time to post depends on if you are business-to-consumer or business-to-business. If you are marketing to consumers the best times to post are between 9:00 AM and 10:00 AM, 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM, and 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM. If you are marketing to businesses the best times to post are 9:00 AM and between 3:00 PM and 4:00 PM. Unlike Facebook, Instagram has a single best day to post regardless of your target market - Friday - which means you could consider posting multiple times on Friday during the best times to maximize your result!
LinkedIn is meant for professionals which means it is most used on the weekdays during or around standard working hours. Business-to-business companies will find the most benefit from LinkedIn but there are opportunities for business-to-consumer companies. Companies marketing to consumers have a single best time time post - 12:00 PM while business-to-business marketers can target 8:00 AM, 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM, and 6:00 PM to increase effectiveness. LinkedIn is very straightforward for the best days to post based on your target market being consumers or businesses.
